Using Draw a Tune

These terms cover the Draw a Tune app and website, provided by Neu Software LLC. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are not old enough to agree to them yourself, use it with a parent or guardian’s permission.

Your creations stay yours

We do not claim ownership of your original drawings or compositions. You can save and export what you make. You are responsible for ensuring that material you import or share respects other people’s rights. We do not guarantee that every generated phrase is unique or that every output qualifies for copyright protection.

The app and its components

You receive permission to use the app for its intended purpose, subject to these terms and the applicable store licence. The app’s code, branding and included third-party components remain subject to their respective rights and licences. Open-source rights are not limited by these terms.

The piano uses adapted Alexander Holm Salamander recordings under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0. Three.js is used under the MIT licence. See Credits for notices and source links.

Pricing and beta access

The mobile app is designed as a one-time store purchase, with all included instruments and exports available without an in-app subscription. The price shown by the store at checkout applies. Beta testing through TestFlight is free. Beta access and features may change, and beta builds expire.

Purchases, reinstalls and refund requests are handled through the store where you bought the app, subject to its rules and your statutory rights.

Keep a copy

Your sketchbook is stored locally. Export editable sketches if you want a backup or want to move devices. Deleting app data, losing a device or removing the app may remove your work. We cannot recover drawings that were never sent to us.

Fair use

Do not use the service unlawfully, interfere with its operation, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to its infrastructure. Do not present the app or website as your own product. You remain free to use and share your own creations.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep Draw a Tune useful and reliable, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every future device, or error-free beta software. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Updates and contact

These terms may be updated as the app changes. Material changes will be communicated appropriately. For questions, support or complaints, contact drawatune@neu.so. Your mandatory local consumer protections continue to apply.
